2026 marks the 82nd anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising. The main celebrations will take place on August 1, and their central moment will be the W Hour at 5 p.m.
The program starts in the second half of July and includes concerts, exhibitions, meetings, family events, educational activities, ceremonies at memorial sites and events organized in various parts of Warsaw.

35th Warsaw Uprising Run
Among several thousand people, we will pay tribute to the Heroes of the Warsaw Uprising - we are creating a tradition that commemorates our history and expresses patriotism!
The premiere concert of Błażej Król will take place in the Freedom Park next to the Warsaw Uprising Museum. It is accompanied by the premiere of an album inspired by the summer of 1944 uprising.
"It started around the corner, or the Uprising in the districts"
A family educational event devoted to the everyday life of the inhabitants of fighting Warsaw. Freedom Park will turn into a map of the insurgent city.
The exhibition shows how the war and occupation changed the way the inhabitants of Warsaw dressed - from pre-war elegance to the civilian clothes worn by the participants of the Uprising.

The rally organized on the occasion of the 82nd anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising will last until August 2. The program included meetings with insurgents, city games, workshops and scouting events.
At 5:00 p.m., Warsaw will stop to honor the memory of the participants of the Warsaw Uprising and the city's inhabitants. An outdoor studio will be open in Freedom Park from 3 p.m.

The celebrations will begin with a ceremony dedicated to the civilian inhabitants of Wola. At 7:00 p.m., participants will set off towards the Warsaw Insurgents Cemetery.

Where are the celebrations taking place in 2026?
Warsaw Uprising Museum and Freedom Park
This is one of the main places of the anniversary program. Concerts, meetings, family events, exhibitions and the common experience of the W Hour take place here.
Marshal Józef Piłsudski Square
On the evening of August 1, the square will become a place for singing insurgent songs together.
Wola and the Warsaw Insurgents Cemetery
On August 5, there will be a March of Remembrance dedicated to the civilian inhabitants of Wola. The route leads from the Memorial Square to the Warsaw Insurgents Cemetery.
Łazienki Królewskie
An exhibition of photographs taken by Home Army photojournalists will be presented in the Open-Air Gallery.
