In the second decade of August 1944, Eugeniusz Lokajski "Brok" photographed the joint work of insurgents and civilians in the yard of the former "Russia" Insurance Company at 124/128 Marszałkowska, corner of Moniuszki 11. The catalog of the Warsaw Uprising Museum describes them as people filling sandbags; in the background he recognizes captured Ford Victoria Model A and Ford V3000 cars. The bags could have strengthened a barricade or protected positions in buildings, but the source does not link them to a specific structure. The frame undoubtedly documents the logistics of strengthening the insurgent Śródmieście and the participation of residents, but not the moment of erecting the named barricade itself.
